In the meeting, Mr. Bagis delivered a speech and mentioned that Turkey showed considerable developments with the AK Party government; however, there is more distance in order to arrive at perfection. Bagis stated "Unfortunately, we, as a nation, make an effort to solve artificial problems instead of real ones." Noting that they have never fleed from critics and they are open to constructive ideas and views, Bagis added: "In fact we want to tackle with the problems of Turkey. We give weight to ideas of people looking from different perspective to genuine problems."
While uttering that they are sometimes exposed to unjust criticisms, Bagis maintained that "Turkey and Turkish Nations have been directed to the West for the last 1000 years. No one has an aim or plan to change this trajectory. We are often confronted with the question ‘Do you have any secret agenda?' If we had a secret agenda, then this would certainly have been the best kept secret. Further, we are in power for 6 years, and we are apparent with our actions."
Noting that Besiktas has not been served as it deserves, Bagis claimed that AK Party should obtain the administration of Besiktas Municipality.
